Acted for a State-owned enterprise in a lawsuit at Guangzhou Zhuhai District People’s Court filed by an institution directly under a Central State Organ for loss of engineering contract fees and interest in about RMB30 million;

This case involved disputes over agency contract. The plaintiff alleged that the defendant breached the agency contract as a result of which the plaintiff sustained loss of engineering contract fees plus interest. It was a complex case with voluminous evidence and limited time for preparation of court hearing. After accepting the instruction of the State-owned enterprise, we immediately formed a legal service team, discussed the merits of the claim and sorted out evidence. The legal service team visited the client for many times to understand the case scenarios and reported defense strategies. The team kept revising and improving the defense plan until the trial began.
