Profile

Attorney Yonghong Ren has nearly 30 years of judicial experience in civil and commercial litigation. He spent 14 years serving as a judge in civil, commercial, and criminal cases at an intermediate people’s court in a directly administered municipality, where he served as Deputy Chief Judge of the First Civil Division. He then spent 14 years working in civil and administrative prosecution at a procuratorate in a city in the Pearl River Delta, where he served as Director of the Civil and Administrative Prosecution Division. During this period, he was seconded to the Supreme People’s Procuratorate for two years to engage in the drafting of the Civil Procedure Law and judicial interpretations, as well as research and case handling. He has been appointed as a prosecutor-instructor at the National Prosecutors College and its Guangdong Branch, and has twice been appointed as a member of the “National Prosecutorial Organs Education and Training Lecturer Group.” Attorney Yonghong Ren has consistently focused on the resolution of major, difficult, and complex civil and commercial disputes. He possesses extensive practical litigation experience, as well as achievements in theoretical research and teaching. He has received honors such as the Second Prize at the 17th National Academic Symposium of People’s Courts for his article “Citation of Legal Provisions in Acquittal Judgments: With a Discussion on the Application of Contrary Interpretation,” and his course “Skills in Procuratorial Supervision and Review of Final Civil Judgments” was recognized as a National Model Course in Procuratorial Education and Training.

Represented a Guangdong-based new energy company, a Guangdong-based investment company, and a Guangdong-based technology and industrial company in a new energy cooperation contract dispute, securing victories in both the first and second instances; the case involved approximately 300 million yuan.
2. Represented a client in a dispute over an equity transfer contract for an IDC project with a Shanghai-based data company, handling both the first and second instances; the case involved approximately 200 million yuan, and successfully secured a substantial equity transfer payment of 50 million yuan for the client.
3. Represented a client in a complex and challenging private lending contract dispute involving Hong Kong and Macao; secured a favorable ruling in the retrial at the Chongqing High People’s Court, with the case value exceeding 80 million yuan.
4. Represented a client in a petition for retrial regarding a sales contract dispute with a listed company; secured a favorable ruling, with the case value exceeding 14 million yuan.
5. Successfully represented a client in a tort liability dispute with a listed company arising from the counterparty’s submission of false evidence in a prior lawsuit.
6. Represented a Guangdong-based electromechanical engineering company in a series of arbitration cases involving a construction contract dispute with a real estate development company, resulting in favorable rulings.
7. Represented a Guangzhou-based property development company in a dispute over liability for harm to corporate interests arising from related-party transactions involving a Guangzhou-based technology company and other entities; successfully applied for prosecutorial supervision and a prosecutorial appeal, leading to a favorable ruling upon retrial.
8. Represented a medical technology company in a sales contract dispute against a pharmaceutical company, securing a favorable judgment.
9. Represented a client in a property service contract dispute against a property management company, securing favorable judgments in both the first and second instances.
10. Represented a client in a dispute involving a senior executive of a large Taiwanese-funded company who acted against the company’s interests, securing a favorable judgment in the second instance and through prosecutorial oversight.
11. Represented a client in a second-instance dispute over an investment contract with a certain Li, who was suspected of filing a fraudulent lawsuit, securing a favorable judgment.
12. Represented a real estate company and an investment company in a land use right transfer contract dispute against a technology company, securing a favorable ruling in the retrial; the amount in dispute was approximately 300 million yuan.
13. Represented a Chongqing-based construction group in an appeal regarding a construction contract dispute with a Guangdong-based real estate development company; the Guangdong Higher People’s Court ruled to remand the case for retrial; the amount in dispute was approximately 150 million yuan.
14. Represented a construction group in Guangdong in an application for retrial regarding a construction contract dispute with an industrial company in Guangdong; the Guangdong Higher People’s Court ruled to grant the retrial, with the amount in dispute totaling approximately 200 million yuan.
15. Represented a Hong Kong resident in an objection to enforcement proceedings against a trading company in Tianjin and a major asset management company; the court upheld the objection and revoked the original ruling, with the amount in dispute totaling 8,000 yuan.
