On September 16th, 2021, tohelp Chinese and foreign enterprises understand the compliance operation underthe Data Security Law of the People's Republic of China, CICC and WANG JING& GH LAW FIRM, with the support of China Council For ThePromotion Of International Trade (CCPIT) jointly held an online seminar onthis very important topic. Mr. Yang Jie and Mr. Franco Fornari, respectivelythe senior partner and the senior international consultant of WANG JING &GH LAW FIRM were invited to the seminar and delivered speeches. Theseminar attracted representatives of Chinese-Italian cross-border enterprisesfrom finance, trade, Hi-Tech and other fields.
Mr. Marco Bettin,Secretary-General of the CICC, attended the seminar and delivered awelcome speech while Ms. Francesca Colombaretti, director of communication andmarketing department of CICC, presided over the whole meeting. The seniorinternational consultant of WANG JING & GH LAW FIRM, Mr. FrancoFornari, speaking fluent Chinese expressed his gratitude to theSecretary General and Ms. Colombaretti and gave a presentation on theoutstanding achievements in the field of data compliance of WANG JING & GHLAW FIRM. Subsequently, as the keynote speaker of this seminar, Mr. Yang Jie, asenior partner of WANG JING & GH LAW FIRM, comprehensively interpreted thedata compliance system norms under the Chinese Jurisdiction for theChinese-Italian cross-border enterprises participating in the meeting from fouraspects: jurisdiction and application of the Data Security Law of the People'sRepublic of China, interpretation of key articles, analysis of penalty risksand practical suggestions for enterprises.
During theQ&A session, the participants were particularly concerned about thedifferences between Chinese and European data protection laws and data transferissues of cross-border enterprises. Lawyer Yang Jie answered each of thesequestions, providing practical and effective guidelines for Chinese-Italiancross-border enterprises.
