The Data Security Law, the first special law on data security in China, was passed in the 29th session of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People’s Congress on June 10, 2021, and became effective on September 1, 2021. The Data Security Law, the Cybersecurity Law, and the Personal Information Protection Law comprehensively build up the legal framework for information and data security in China.
Today, Wang Jing & GH Law Firm officially establishes the International Data Compliance Institute! This is an important initiative to thoroughly implement the strategic thoughts of Digital China and Network Power of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and is a practical need to promote the development of the digital economy in the Greater Bay Area.
