Wang Jing & GH Law Firm congratulates its International Partner Mr. Franco Fornari, and Sun Yat-sen’s Ph.D. candidate Mr. Valentino Lucini, for their prestigious China Foreign Investment Law publication on “Fondazione Italia-Cina”, Italian scientific journal “Mondo Cinese”.
Starting January 1st, 2020, China enacted a major reform and restructuring of its foreign investment regulation landscape, replacing the Law on Sino-foreign Equity Joint Ventures, the Law on Sino-foreign Cooperative Joint Ventures, and the Law on Wholly Foreign-owned Enterprises with the Foreign Investment Law (Fil). The Fil aims to simplify the legislative environment and create a more stable, transparent, and fair-competition environment for foreign investments, as well as providing a powerful legal platform in order to achieve a higher level of opening-up and promotion of foreign investments in the country. Ambitious goals are set forth by an ever-improving legal system that aims to confirm its primary role for foreign and domestic investments.
