On June 22nd 2022, we had the pleasure and honor to have Mr. Mário da Silva Ferreira, Vice-Consul of Portugal for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Consulate General of Portugal in Guangzhou visiting our firm, with the invitation from our International partner Mr. Franco Fornari and lawyer Ms. Eloísa Hu from Foreign Related Legal Department.
During the meeting, Mr. Ferreira introduced the status of the Portuguese community in south China and shared his deep insight regarding the investment and commerce between Portugal and China in the recent years. Mr. Ferreira also presented the advantages and leading industries regarding attraction of foreign investment in Portugal.
Mr. Fornari and Lawyer Hu also made a brief presentation of our firm and our extensive experience in in legal matters regarding foreign investment in China, international commerce and trading, outbound investment from China to overseas, among other areas such as Intellectual Property, Information and Technology etc.. Mr. Ferreira appreciated our complete availability to assist the Consulate General of Portugal in Guangzhou in legal matters concerning the Portuguese community in China, as well as the investment and commerce between the two countries.
The Foreign Related team provided legal service to the Consulate General of Portugal back in 2018, when the General Consulate first opened in Guangzhou. The service included office location finding, drafting and revision of leasing contract, legal advice regarding employment matters.
